When I moved into my grandparents house they probably had 100+ ceramic chickens of varying sizes, shapes and colors. I almost named the house after the chickens. But since there were 250+ collectible plates in the house I named it after the plates instead. Haus der Platten.
Of course none of those chickens were as cool looking as yours.

Is it random picture or random aiming...:) Those are very cool, I'd have had trouble telling what they were if you hadn't mentioned it and that completely looks like something you'd see in Minnesota!! In fact I bet there was matching cat stuff very near to those chickens.
