(Relatively) Safe @ Home

I guess it's a mark of how endearing you are that everyone has been on tenterhooks about what's happening with you! I was definitely anxious and waiting for an update. So glad to know everything's ok for now. Hope it stays that way. A scare like this really puts things in perspective, doesn't it? That everything you really care about fits into a car? :)
glad to hear you're back home Steve. hopefully the firefighters will be able to more effectively do their work now the wind has died down some. and hopefully you will be able to stay put!

I'm so glad to hear you guys are okay and were able to return home. It's been a wild, surreal 24-36 hours. I'm really hoping the winds cooperate today.
I'm so glad to hear that you're back home! I'm also glad to hear that the winds have died down - and hopefully the firefighters can get a handle on those fires.

I'm so glad you guys are safe and sound. I thought about you all morning while watching the fires on msnbc. It truly looks devastating. Here's hoping the National Guard gets there soon to help out.
Glad to hear that you guys are OK, it looks pretty intense down there. Hope they get things under control, and you can unpack your car and rest easy.
Wonderful news!
Glad to hear you were able to go back home so quickly. We'll continue to pray for you.
Good to hear you're back home. Hopefully you'll be able to stay there.
Glad to hear this - still praying for you guys and all of SoCA.
So happy to hear you are home. Here's praying the winds go away and they can get this fire out.

and i hope things continue to get better.
Great! I sure hope that the situation continues to improve. Thanks for keeping us posted!
Good to hear! Continuing to pray for you and the rest of the state dealing with the fires.....
I do hope things start looking up for all the residents of So.Cal. We'll be thinking of you down here.
I'm glad to learn that you two are safe and out of harms way. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and understand completely. It's indeed a tragedy but we will survive and rebuild again.

So, so, so glad to hear all is well with you guys. =) I've been worried all day.

And I hope you're holding my beer because you remember how ill I got last time any alcoholic beverage entered (and erm, exited) my system and not because you've forgotten that I'm old enough to have one. ;-)

You guys take care... give Eutaw extra dog cookies to make her feel better about all the stress!!

Since most of the people I "actually" know have moved out of Southern California, I've had all my Vox friends on my mind all day. Very happy to hear you and your home are safe!
Glad to hear you were able to return to your home.
so, i've finally gotten a chance to read about these fires, and holy moly, was i scared for you today!! the express (smaller publication of the Washington Post) had a photo of the stadium full of tents and sleeping bags . . . did you have to go there?

anyways, i'm glad to hear you're in the clear for now . . . keep us posted, we're all keeping our fingers crossed this can be resolved soon! someone at work said it could be as bad if not worse than Katrina damages if it can't be contained soon . . . worse comes to worse, you're always welcome by me! (and i'm sure many other east-coasters, too.)

fingers crossed . . .
Bless your heart, Steve. I keep thinking about you. Keep us posted when/as you're able.
I apologize for not saying anything earlier. I am glad you all are safe. My niece lives there, she is a model, I was worried for her.
