More Grey Hair for Mom -- Grey as in Ashes

Now Steve be honest. Do you use this same razor sharp problem solving technique when designing new drugs?...:)

Reminds me of the story my DH tells about him and his step brother setting his step mother's lawn on fire because she was going to make them take a nap!

Great story! My favorite part? The image of trying to douse the flames with a 24 oz plastic cup of the 7-Eleven variety of that era. I see how this would be a favorite story of your mom's to relay over and over for decades ;)

I was gonna say - wow, they went easy on you! :)

Seems like parents always have a way of bringing up your absolute worst moments. Mine have all kinds of embarrassing stories about dumb things I said when I was little. LOL

LOL. a bucket brigade!!! with a cup. that's classic...

I can honestly say I have never heard of punks.
Steve the pyromaniac. Sounds like you were a little rascal.

Wow Steve that is quite the childhood story! Thank goodness for quick thinking big sisters.

I think just about all kids have a story about the time they or one of their siblings almost burned the house down. Of course, I was the good child, so it was my sister, Marlen, that almost burned it down. ;-)

Lolol... I have all sorts of fun images of Wee Little Steve the Pyro running around in my head. =D It's greatly amusing!

Steve, you seriously, seriously need to write a book. Your childhood stories -- all of which seem to hinge on you coming close to serious danger or death -- are hilariously entertaining.
sdede2 -- my last performance review would suggest that my ginsu-like mind has not changed.... ;)
Janette & Mello --- yes, mom loved that story -- most regularly told when I would bring a girl home. That and the baby pictures of me getting a bath in the sink....
Janie --- you need to post that story! (And of course Marlen needs to post her version of things, too... :) )
Jen -- sometimes, in retrospect, I'm amazed that I made it past 15. :)
This was so funny! The visual in my head had me laughing so hard. I'm so glad that things turned out as they did - could have been so much worse! But great story! :)
