mmmm... scrapple. man, speaking of things made with crack. i only had it for the first time right before christmas, and i am pleasantly surprised at how much i love it... considering what's in it. i don't know exactly, but my uncle described it as "the stuff that's not good enough for the sausage." beyond that, i don't want to know, because i've been eating it a lot.

job #2 sounds SO cool. i wrote a paper in college ('94) about dendrimer polymers and their use in AIDs research. it's amazing how my current job has nothing to do with what i originally went to school for. LOL. that's life!

btw, i hope you get to alaska some day. it is absolutely magical during winter. my family lived in fairbanks for 3 years and it still feels like a dream.
Scapple?! Yikes
Just hearing about it makes me want to go vegan and I'm a dyed in the wool meat eater. Every time I hear of offal meats I think that it's such a fitting word.
again with the SCRAPPLE... I thought we would have beat it out of you by now! I get your implied tagging, so I will try to reply later!
(Fish)/AKK -- I think only true mid-lantic-ites like Liz and I get scrapple. If you can get it crispy on the outside and smushy on the inside --- heaven.

exactly! crispy out, smushy in! i totally had scrapple for breakfast this morning, and it was perfect, too. especially with eggs on top!

i'm not even sure it's a mid-atlantic thing, as a mid-atlantic with shore/country roots thing.
